Gokyo  Lake Trek

The Gokyo Valley is perhaps the most spectacular of the valleys in the Everest region and while the trail to Everest Base Camp gets close to the world's highest mountain there are those who suggest the view from Gokyo Peak offers the best panoramic view in the region. The trail to Gokyo has a network of small lodges which have recently seen big improvements in food and accommodation facilities.

This now makes the programme ideally suited to lodge-based trekking. The highlights are many, the sensational Ngozumpa Glacier, one of the largest in the Nepal Himalaya, the lakes at Gokyo, and the side trek to the top of Gokyo Kang (5360m) where the views are the amongst the most spectacular in Nepal including four 8,000-metre peaks: Cho-Oyo (8153m), Makalu (8475m), Lhotse (8511m) and, of course, Mount Everest (8848m).

Day to Day Itinerary

Day 01: Your arrival at the Tribhuwan International Airport(TIA) and you will be meet our airport representative then transfer to hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 03:Fly Kathmandu to Lukla and start walking to Phakding 2610m, 3 hours. Overnight at Guest House.

Day 04: Walk from Phakding to Namche Bazaar 3440m, 5 hours. Overnight at Guest House.

Day 05:Acclimatization in Namche (3440), Today you will hike to Syanbgboche ( Everest View Hotel), observe Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Thamserku, Amadablam and other soaring mountains closely with hot tea, coffee or lemon tea. After few hours breaks at Everest View Hotel retrace back to Namche Bazaar. Rest of time exploration of Namche ( the main market of Khumbu Region).Overnight at Guest House.

Day 06: Walk from Namche to Phortse Dranga (3800m), 5 hr. Overnight at Guest House.

Day 07: Walk from Phortse Dranga to Machhermo (4410m), 6 hrs. Overnight at Guest House.

Day 08:Walk from Machhermo to Gokyo (4750m), 5 hrs. Ovenight at Guest House.

Day 09: Hiking day to Gokyo Ri to observe the snowcapped mountain including Mt. Everest and back to Gokyo, 4 hours. Overnight at Guest House.

Day 10: Walk down from Gokyo to Dole (4040m), 5 hrs. Overnight at Guest House.

Day 11: Walk down from Dole to Namche, 4 hours. Overnight at Guest House.

Day 12: Walk from N amche to Lukla (2840m), 6 hrs. Overnight at Guest House.

Day 13: Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu, 30 minutes and transfer to Hotel.

Day 14: Transfer from Hotel to Airport and Fly back to home.

The price includes following services:

• Nepal Travel insurance .(Your insurance should coverage personal accidents, medical expenses, helicopter evacuation for emergency)
• Nepal entry visa fee. You may easily issue the visa upon your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport Kathmandu.
• Items of a personal nature such as alcoholic drinks, hot shower, hot water, dessert, cold drinks, laundry, Tips.
• Expenses occurred due to unavoidable Events i.e. road wrecks, flight delays etc.
