SAPTARI, Jan 18 - Madhesi People’s Rights Forum
Chairman Upendra Yadav Friday alleged that the ruling seven
parties are not being sincere about the Constituent Assembly
(CA) elections.
Talking to media persons in Saptari district headquarters
Rajbiraj, Yadav claimed that the CA elections scheduled to be
held in April 10 would be deferred again.
Yadav stated that the CA polls face uncertainty as the
government is not serious about resolving the issues that caused
the polls to fail two times earlier.
Yadav said that the government should not release Rs 1 million
to the ‘hand-picked’ members of parliament.
The MPRF Chairman held the Maoists and the Nepali Congress
chiefly responsible for being against the CA polls and alleged
that the CPN-UML was equally responsible.
Yadav, who hails from the country’s southern plains, also said
that none of the Madhesi people would get their rights through
an armed agitation.
The MPRF Chairman opined that the government should resolve the
Terai problems through dialogue as the special security plan
launched in eight Terai districts will only make the situation
worse.
