Machermo Peak Climbing

Machermo peak situated at Mahalangur region, the Peak has not been opened long time for Mountaineers. Machermo peak is one of the most interesting peak climbing among the trekking Peaks in Nepal. It is categorized in the grade-A by Nepal Mountaineering Association. To reach the base camp, the trail leads through Yak territory, on the way of Gokyo lake trek. The base camp is set up above the rocky meadows and moraine around 5140 meter. Further climb ascends on the rock and snow slopes to reach the top. The same path descends to base camp. From the summit of Machermo Peak provides stunning views of Amadablam, Lhotse Shar, Nuptse, Lhotse and Mount Everest.

Machermo Peak Climbing Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrive at Kathmandu Airport and transfer to Hotel.
Day 02: Full day Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing(1350m.)
Day 03: Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla (2886m.) and Trek to Phakding.
Day 04: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440 m.).
Day 05: Rest day at Namche Bazaar (3440 m.) for acclimatization.
Day 06: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Dole (4040m.) via Khumjung.
Day 07: Trek from Dole to Machhermo (4150m).
Day 08: Trek from Machhermo to Gokyo (4750m).
Day 09: Rest day at Gokyo and excursion around Gokyo valley.
Dy 10: Trek from Gokyo to Machermo Base Camp.
Day 11-13: Climbing period of Machermo Peak 6273 Meter.
Day 14: Trek from Machermo base camp to Machermo.
Day 15: Trek from Machermo to Namche Bazaar.
Day 16: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2886 m.).
Day 17: Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu. You take an early morning flight back to Kathmandu.
Day 18: Transfer to international airport for your final flight departure.
