| Programs: |
| A. Tandem flights
Experience is not required! Tandem flying is when a certified pilot flies with a passenger. Both pilot and passenger sit in harnesses that are attached to each other and the wing. A paragliding harness is designed for safety and comfort, and is like sitting in a comfy chair. After an easy take-off, the passenger sits back and relaxes...enjoying the epic scenery and breathing the mountain air. Bring with you strong shoes, and a windproof jacket. Flights last from 30 minutes to 45 minutes, depending on weather conditions, and you.
B. Solo Flights
Experienced Pilots and who must have valid license from any recognized organization. They can enjoy the good flight alone in beautiful range of Godavari.

| Courses: |
| A. Beginners
We Start with theoretical courses, tandem flights and will slowly feel go for solo fly. The first flight will be a short one. Paragliding is the purest form of flying. By using the elements and rising currents of warm air, we can stay aloft for many hours and travel big distance. This simple aircraft fits easily into a rucksack and weights about 10kg. Beginner courses are 5 days long and you should fly During all our courses you will be under instruction using two-way radios. Building upon each successfully completed task you quickly progress to higher and longer flights. Due to the exceptional weather conditions in Nepal, we can complete the course needed to get your paragliding license far quicker than in less predictable climates. The satisfaction of controlling your own aircraft by harnessing the elements is enormous. In Nepal the flying is made even more fun by the continuous presence of numerous species of eagle, vulture, falcon, hawk and kite. They all love to join us, equally fascinated by us as we are by them. Often flying within feet of the glider!
B. Thermalling
The mild and super-consistent weather of the Kathmandu valley provides excellent conditions for all levels of pilot. From beginner through to cross country hounds, Nepal has it all. Often the most crucial part of any pilots training is immediately after they have qualified and have to fly outside of the school environment. This can seem daunting especially as the new pilot often has to deal with unfamiliar conditions, such as thermals. A lot of pilots are not trained in school to fly in thermal conditions and need extra instruction. Kathmandu Paragliding offers this course for pilots looking to improve the necessary skills and decisions that give you the best chance of soaring away from the familiar environment of the ridge to the freedom of the open skies.
C. Cross country
This offers you the chance to experience flying from one valley to another. Using thermals, clouds and birds to guide us, we take you on an unforgettable journey south of Kathmandu towards the big mountains & Jungle. We fly as long as we can and aim to return to Godawary that afternoon. |
